From July 3 to 10, 2024, I participated in a nine-day tour of Lost in the Balkans organized by KaiYuan Travel Agency in Germany.
In my travel history, this is an unusual and happy trip.
At the beginning of the group at Munich Railway Station on the afternoon of July 3, I got a big surprise. I thought it was a large group traveling by bus, but it turned out to be a small group of only 8 tourists, led by tour guide Pang Guoliang.
The first impression of Pang Dao was that he was cheerful, sincere and easy-going. He said that if you need anything during his tour, you can tell him, and he will try his best to help you solve the problem. He really did what he said.
It is not easy to travel to the Western Balkans, and everyone naturally wants to see more cultural and natural landscapes. Pang Dao is a tour guide and driver, and it is very hard to drive every day. But he worked tirelessly, and whenever he arrived at a place, he immediately explained the history and characteristics of the scenic spot to everyone regardless of fatigue. Pang Dao has strong business ability and a reasonable itinerary arrangement, trying to let everyone see more things in a limited time. We had a great time visiting the main attractions in cities such as Lake Bled, Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes, Zadar, Dubrovnik, Mostar, Sarajevo, and Split. He also took advantage of the convenience of driving a small car to let everyone see some things that were not arranged in the itinerary on the road, such as driving to the mountains in the suburbs to overlook the panoramic view of Dubrovnik when leaving Dubrovnik. In the Adriatic coastal city of Dubrovnik and the small town of Opatija, we arranged more free time for everyone, so that I and my group members who like swimming were able to swim in the Adriatic Sea twice and gain a rare experience.
In addition to the good travel itinerary, the living arrangements are also very good. I have participated in several European trips organized by KaiYuan Society. Basically, tourists are allowed to solve the problem of eating by themselves at noon and in the evening. But this time, because the 8 people in the group are basically elderly people who came to Germany to reunite with their children, they are old and most of them do not know foreign languages. Everyone felt that it was difficult to eat by themselves. Guide Pang took the initiative to introduce the local food characteristics to everyone, and organized several free dinners, where we tasted the delicacies of the Three Kingdoms. We not only had a good time, but also had a good stay and good food.
In short, Guide Pang is a very enthusiastic and competent tour guide. After 9 days, he became friends with everyone. I sincerely thank him for everything he has done for us. I hope that when I participate in KaiYuanshe’s tours in the future, I will have the opportunity to join his group.
